(Le Macinaie in summertime)

Towards the top of the mountain is "Albergo Le Macinaie" at 1400 Meters above sea level in a beautiful clearin surrounded by Italy's largest beech wood. It has been completely renovated and has 17 rooms. Two families, the Bracciali & the Rossi have run it for over 30 years. The local dishes they prepare for you are unforgettable. It is ideal for visits specialising in food & wine, cookery courses, hiking, biking and motorbiking.
